Where do you live?
I live in Pune, India.

Who/what inspired you to follow your creative calling?
My very first influencer to get me started with creativity is my father. Papa is a goldsmith by profession but an artist at heart. His paintings always inspired me and I used to be in awe looking at his hands. His hands aren’t steady now but he still leads a life filled with creativity.
Today what inspires me to be creative is ‘nature’. It has a rhythm of it’s own and you can dance on that rhythm. So much it offers you to get inspired. A long lone walk in the grass is enough to get the creative juices going. Mother Earth indeed has one big heart filled with art called ‘love’, or rather ‘selfless love’. This love is what inspires me to share my art!

What does creativity mean to you?
Creativity for me means authenticity. Love that comes from within and has no frills or expectations. The joy of being lost in your art. The simplicity of your thoughts.

When do you feel at your most creative & inspired? There are instances when ideas just hit me up like from nowhere. Hence I always keep a journal around. My book ‘Love Infused Pregnancy – Your Guide to a Conscious Pregnancy’ was born in a spur of a moment while breastfeeding my son. He was 3 months old then. I felt so inspired that I completed the book and launched it when my son was 7 months old. Such swift were the downloads.
Otherwise I am at my creative best first thing after waking up. I like to document my dreams and let the words flow thereafter. I choose the inspirations to work in depth later from this ‘morning’ list.

Which place/landscape makes your heart happy?
I have one mentioned in my book. It is a blue lake surrounded by green trees. There are white lotuses in it. You can see the beautiful horizon where the sun sets and the moon comes up. The water is so clear that you can see your own reflection in it. I imagine sitting at this lake with my feet in the water writing in my journal. This place always makes my heart happy. A place I created for myself in my vision❣️

What do you like most about yourself?
My authenticity. You will always find me telling what it is and not what it is supposed to be. I will be raw and vulnerable with you and not just share the perfect pictures on social media.

What do you like the least about yourself?
My OCD. I need to know everything right then and there. I sometimes get entangled in the comfort of the known rather than exploring the unknown.

What was the last book you read?
‘The Palace of Illusions’ by Chitra Banerjee Divakurani. It is a beautiful story of the ancient Hindu mythological story of the Mahabharata narrated from Draupadi’s perspective. Reading a feminine voice and her interpretation of this saga was refreshing. Mahabharata has always been narrated by the masculine so far and this was so good from the conventional story heard till date.

Which values do you look for in other people?
Integrity, Compassion and Intelligence

Which three words describe you best?
Authentic, Loving, Giving
